Main Character: Mick St. John. A private investigator who was turned into a vampire over fifty years ago. His wife, Coraline, turned him on his wedding night. He remained solo for the next thirty years of his life. He was approached by a mother desperate to find her kidnapped daughter Beth. Mick rescued the child from the kidnapper, his ex-wife Coraline, whom he killed. He has continued to keep track of Beth over the years.

Main Character: Josef Kostan (previously listed as Konstantin in early press releases). A 400+ year old vampire, and St. John's mentor, not much is known about his past and he doesn't reveal anything of it unless prompted. He claims to have gone insane when first turned into a vampire in Dr. Feelgood, was chased by a mob in There's No Such Thing as Vampires, and has known Coraline for roughly a hundred years before she met Mick. He doesn't understand why Mick's helping humans and has told him so on many occasions.

Actor: Jason William Dohring (born March 30, 1982) most recently starred for three seasons in the television series "Veronica Mars." His additional television credits include "Cold Case," "Judging Amy," "JAG" and "Picket Fences," all on CBS, "The Division," "Boston Public," "Once and Again," "Roswell" and "Baywatch," as well as the television movies "Black Cadillac," "Ready to Run" and "Someone She Knows."

Main Character: Coraline / Morgan. Originally, she was a courtesan in early 18th century France and is approximately 300 years old. St. John's ex-wife and sire, she turned him into a vampire on their wedding night. She was presumed dead after Mick rescued Beth from her and set the building on fire, trapping Coraline within. In the episode entitled "The Ringer", Mick met a woman who appeared to be her exact likeness - a photographer named Morgan. Despite the fact that she is seemingly human, not a vampire. The last scene of the episode shows Morgan wiping makeup from her shoulder, revealing a tattoo previously worn by Coraline. Mick and Beth finally learn the truth about her identity in the episode "Fleur de Lis".

Actor: Shannon Marie Sossamon (born October 3, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii), better known as Shannyn Sossamon - credits include the upcoming films "Wristcutters: A Love Story," "The Heavy," "One Missed Call" and "Life Is Hot In Cracktown."
