The Rumors Concerning Moonlight Season 2 on Sci Fi Are FALSE

Lately, a few untrustworthy / unreliable members of
ML fandom have been spreading baseless rumors about
the possibility of Moonlight Season 2.
For the sake of those readers who may have false hopes regarding this, Matt Mitovich of TV Guide lays this nonsense to rest:
"MATT: Moonlight, which averaged 7.5 million viewers during its CBS run, has been hovering around a million weekly viewers on Sci Fi, making it one of the better-performing series acquired by the cabler in recent years. That said, a wild rumor suggesting that Sci Fi is seeking to get Mick and the band back together for a Season 2 has absolutely no teeth to it."

Moonlight, as a production, is a nonexistent entity. A season 2 is virtually impossible at this point. No studios have been interested. All contracts on the cast and crew have completely expired. The main actors involved have found work elsewhere. Alex O'Loughlin himself has stated that the show has been "laid to rest" so we must content ourselves with the DVD set and the repeats of season 1 on the Sci Fi Channel.
