Series Description
"Moonlight" is a romantic thriller with a new twist on the vampire legend. Starring Alex O'Loughlin ("The Shield," "Mary Bryant"), Sophia Myles ("Underworld" movies, "Tristan + Isolde"), Jason Dohring ("Veronica Mars," "Deep Impact") and Shannyn Sossamon ("Dirt," "The Rules of Attraction"), "Moonlight" is from Silver Pictures Television in association with Warner Bros. Television, airing Fridays (9:00 - 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Sci Fi Channel.

Mick St. John (O'Loughlin) is a captivating, charming -- and immortal -- private investigator from Los Angeles who defies the traditional bloodsucking norms of his vampire tendencies by using his wit and powerful supernatural abilities to help the living. In a life-altering twist of fate, Mick was bitten 60 years ago by his then-new bride, the seductive Coraline (Sossamon).

Forever 30 years of age, Mick is as handsome and charismatic as the day he was "turned," and he eschews others of his kind who view humans only as a source of nourishment. With only a handful of like-minded confidantes for company, including the eternally young, wealthy and mischievous Josef Kostan (Dohring), a hedge-fund trader who relishes his uniqueness, Mick fills his infinite days protecting the living.

But one night years ago, a single act of kindness changed him when he saved the life of a young girl, Beth Turner (Myles), making him want to be a better vampire. Now their paths cross again, and Mick develops a distinctive bond with Beth, who has grown into a beautiful, ambitious Internet investigative reporter. Reconnecting with her unleashes feelings Mick knows he can't pursue without exposing the part of him that would make him a monster in Beth's eyes. As Mick lives between two realities, fighting his adversaries among the undead and falling in love, he discovers the mysteries and pleasures that a valuable life has to offer.

"Moonlight" is executive produced by Joel Silver ("Veronica Mars," "The Reaping," "V for Vendetta," "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang," "House of Wax" [2005], "The Matrix" movies, "Gothika," "Lethal Weapon" movies, "Die Hard" movies, "The Invasion," "The Brave One" [2007], "Speed Racer" [2008]), Chip Johannessen ("Dark Angel," "Millennium," "Beverly Hills, 90210"), Ron Koslow ("Beauty and the Beast," "Birds of Prey," "Roar," "Last Dance" [1996]), Rod Holcomb ("ER," "China Beach," "Shark," "The Pentagon Papers," "Thanks of a Grateful Nation") and Gerard Bocaccio ("Playing Mona Lisa," "A Fate Totally Worse Than Death").
